Due to the latest statements published in the media following the activities of the fair program and more specifically the celebration of the activity "Launch of Olive Bone", the Department of Culture wants to report that:

The organizers were contacted several times to know the intention to celebrate the activity, informing them the last time that the program of the fair was going to be closed, declining the celebration due to lack of budget.

It has offered to sponsor the activity with 1,500 €, plus all the costs of security, services and cleaning, alleging the organization that is not enough because the costs according to them amount to 4,500 €.

The City can not organize the activity because it is the patent of the association "Amigos de las Oliveras".

The Local Security Board was held on Friday, chaired by the delegate of the Government of the Region of Murcia, and it was fixed and closed all the necessary device for the celebration of the Fair and Festivities 2018.

If, as stated by a regional communication medium, it is finally the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the CARM that will sponsor the activity, the City Council informs that since this administration has not received any communication and information, to know the viability of the activity, as it is known that to start up such an activity it is necessary to coordinate its development and organization, since it is necessary to plan for security, cleaning, production and prior promotion, due to the dimensions of the event.

Neither the Ministry mentioned, nor the association "Friends of Oliveras" have submitted any application for permission or project for the celebration of the activity.

It is the responsibility of the Government Team to ensure the safety and proper functioning of municipal activities, and that is what we do with each of the authorized activities.
