One thousand five hundred gifts will be distributed in the XV Mad Car Race of Los Dormis (23/08/2018)

One of the most multitudinous events at the Cieza fair returns this weekend with a good dose of fun and spectacularity.

The crazy car race of Los Dormis will distribute more than 1,000 euros in prizes and some 1,500 gifts for spectators among toys and merchandising.

The test has been presented by the president of the organizing collective, Antonio Gómez;

the Councilor for Culture, María Ramos, and José Luis Valenzuela de Almudena Seguros, sponsor of the event.

The traditional Crazy Car Race organized by the Los Dormis Cultural Association and the City of Cieza on the occasion of the patron saint festivities in honor of San Bartolomé is celebrated this Sunday 26 on the usual circuit of the Camino de Murcia.

The registration period is open.

The fifteenth edition of this already consolidated test will count this year as the main sponsor of Almudena Seguros.

The organization offers free chassis for people who want to participate and can not make a car so that they only have to decorate it to their liking.

The event aims, among other objectives, to contribute to the dynamisation of the festivities and promote the image of the municipality.

The main novelty is that participation will be completely free as of this edition.

On the other hand, the cash prizes destined for the originality section are significantly increased.

The circuit, which will be located one more year on the Camino de Murcia, will be completely fenced and marked to prevent spectators from throwing themselves at the participants.

This year, this circuit will present new features that will make it more fun and playful.

The boxes, where the reception of cars will take place from 10 in the morning, will be installed in the Esquina del Convento, where the exit will be located and where the cars will be launched from 12 noon.

The characteristics of the participating vehicles, which can be adapted to unimaginable shapes and designs using all types of materials, must be handcrafted and must be moved by the force of inertia, being prohibited the installation of pedals or engines.

The crazy cars must honor their name, because it will reward, in addition to the speed, imagination and creativity of the participants.
