The protocol will be developed later through an agreement, which will establish that Adif will contract the drafting and construction of the construction project, while the City Council will carry out the necessary urban planning procedures for the execution of said underpass
The Secretary of State for Infrastructure, Transport and Housing, Pedro Saura, today chaired the signing of a protocol of intentions between Adif and the City of Cieza (Murcia Region), by which both institutions will work together to implement one step below in the Cañada de la Horta, on the Chinchilla-Cartagena line, of the General Interest Railway Network.
The agreement has been signed by the president of Adif, Isabel Pardo de Vera, and the mayor of Cieza, Pascual Lucas.
Under this protocol, which must be developed through the corresponding agreement, Adif will hire and direct the drafting of a construction project for the underpass, and will also be responsible for the contracting and direction of the works contemplated in it.
For its part, the City of Cieza will promote the necessary processing that derives from these railway infrastructure projects.
The protocol has a validity of four years (extendable tacitly for annual periods).
