The present project, presented this Wednesday by the Councilor for Social Welfare, Melba Miñano, tries to respond to the demand for support and guidance from fathers and mothers at a time so especially sensitive for foster families;
Likewise, it also responds to the recommendation adopted by the European Council in 2006 that establishes the need for public administrations and their professionals to generate and facilitate spaces for support and accompaniment for fathers and mothers in the exercise of positive parentality.
One more year the activity is aimed at parents and / or caregivers who wish to share and receive professional support and advice to establish healthy relationships and care with their children, thus preventing emotional problems and emotional difficulties that may arise in the development of minors.
This group exchange space is guided by the midwife of the Cieza Este Health Center and the psychologist of the Cieza Social Services Center, with the collaboration of the social worker and the Family Program educator.
The sessions are attended not only by mothers, fathers or caregivers, but also by their children, thus sharing an early socialization space that generates the experience of security in the presence of other non-family members, which is of great relevance for babies for possible entry. later in nursery school.
The sessions are held weekly from October 31 to May 21, 2020.
They point out that this work experience has been a reference in the Region for other municipalities.
During previous editions, both the municipality of Lorquí and that of Yecla have participated in the Group in order to know the dynamics and operation that would allow to implement the experience in their municipalities.
