The Corner of the Convent hosted this Saturday afternoon the central events scheduled by the Department of Social Welfare around World Disability Day and World Volunteer Day.
They were attended by the mayor, Pascual Lucas, and the head of Social Services, Melba Miñano, among other councilors of the municipal Corporation.
The afternoon was enlivened by the music of Anfri DJ.
After the reading of the manifesto for the day of disability by the president of the Down Cieza Association, Antonio Sánchez, an act of recognition of the centenary volunteer was held during which, Melba Miñano discovered a plaque commemorating the work done by the groups Let us go in this area.
The World Day of Disability is commemorated this Tuesday, December 3 and World Volunteer Day on Thursday 5. The Department of Social Welfare will continue this week with the series of activities aimed at giving visibility to this work both in the group of people with Disability as a volunteer.
This Tuesday, Signa Music, Song "Dance" of Rozalen organized by the Red Infancia Cieza, with the participation of the educational centers of the municipality.
On Monday, December 16, a play, "The Little Mermaid" performed by the students of the El Buen Pastor Special Education Center and the users of the ASCOPAS Occupational Center.
