Police Day, with emergency personnel and citizens who intervened in the cold drop (09/12/2019)

Happy, satisfied and grateful.

This was the general feeling among the honoree.

One more year, the institutional act of the Police Day gathered this Sunday, in the Manuela Burló Moreno Hall of the Capitol Theater, the highest representations of municipal life to honor a police force that is a faithful reflection of a way of conceiving the public service, and whose only goal is that the safety of the cezanos is their safety.

The work of the Cieza Local Police is a source of common pride.

This was reflected in an appointment so marked that he showed appreciation and admiration for his work and for those who make it possible.

And it is that the agents fulfill their functions in an exemplary way, a way of working linked to the life of the neighbors 365 days a year.

Publicly recognize the work of career paths and actions and interventions of an exceptional nature, in situations of risk, beyond what is required in the normal performance of their duties.

That is the purpose of this ceremony that, in the same way, does the same with volunteers and neighbors who are distinguished in a special way by their contribution in security, protection and citizen assistance in the municipality.

For this reason, the mayor of Cieza, Pascual Lucas, presided over the institutional act that had as a preamble the magazine pass to the staff of agents and members of the local groups of Civil Protection and Spanish Red Cross, who formed at the gates of the police station .

After reviewing the uniformed men accompanied by the inspector-chief of the Local Police, María José Hernández, and listening to the police anthem by the Municipal Music Band, the councilman and the rest of the authorities went to the Capitol Theater, where the Councilor for Traffic, Francisco Saorín;

the commander of the Main Post of the Civil Guard of Cieza, Pascual Martínez, and a broad representation of the Corporation.

Among the large audience was almost all of the representatives of emergency services, institutions, associations, companies and neighbors honored for their intervention in different actions.

The eleven agents who have stopped serving after the entry into force of the law that allows them to retire at age 59, with more than thirty years of service behind them, also received homage from their peers.

These are the sub-inspectors Pedro Gómez Molina and Pascual López Zamorano and the agents Jesús Ros Guirao, Diego Guardiola Salmerón, Francisco Marín Martínez, José Jesús Lorenzo Isidro, Juan Marín Parens, Antonio Ruiz Buendía, Antonio Fernández Salinas, Ramón Martínez Villa and Miguel Lucas Jaw.

Each of them received a souvenir from the inspector-chief and the assistant inspector Antonio González.

On such a designated day for the Police, it was necessary to distinguish once again the best that have stood out throughout the year in the exercise of their work and that are incorporated into a list of outstanding professionals, now enriched even more with their input.

Or his collaboration with the necessary emergency services in locating a missing person on April 17, the fires recorded this summer and the cold drop episode last September: Spanish Red Cross, Grouping of Civil Protection Volunteers of Cieza , Main Post of the Civil Guard of Cieza and Local Police.

The Piedras Vivas Association, Mental Health Association Cieza and Comarca (Afemce), Scout Group San Jorge Cieza, GECA Group of the OJE, Hogar del Guía, also obtained their recognition for the delivery demonstrated and for the support provided during the torrential rains in September. of OJE Cieza, Neighborhood Association of the San José Obrero Neighborhood and National Network of Radio Emergency Zone 5 of Cieza, as well as the companies that provided human and technical resources: Construcciones FJ Argudo, Scrap Metal Recovery Fernández, Excavaciones El Mona, Javier Cutanda López (Procut) and Francisco J. Lucas Fernández (Agroquímicos Lucas).

Regarding the floods, the recognitions were also extended to citizens who expressed their solidarity with those affected in an exemplary manner such as María Purificación Lucas, Rocío Moreno, María Desirée Ruiz, Samuel Arcas, Ángel Santiago Morcillo, Manuel Morcillo, José Martínez, Juan Manuel Hita , Josefa Aroca and María Luisa Aroca.
