Exhibition of the Murcian artist ALVARO PEÑA "Las Flores del Bien" at the Siyàsa de Cieza Museum (21/02/2020)

Away from mediocrity and boredom we find an explosion of color in a unique place in our region, the "Cieza fields", here through the flowering of the peach tree we experience a chromatic sensation that we can hardly find in other places of our nature , under this scenario "The flowers of good" is presented at the Siyâsa Museum.

Curated by Pedro López Morales, Álvaro Peña, an artist to take into account for his increasingly consolidated and booming career, manages to transfer the flowering of Cieza to his canvases and papers getting us into his experiences and emotions before this unique phenomenon of the nature that year after year gives us the chromatic show of the peach blossom.

The multidisciplinary artist has worked during the last months, López Morales tells us different works in watercolor, acrylic and ink totally new for this exhibition, a very personal way to symbolize the explosion of color of the capital of the Vega Alta leading to painting and Drawing with strength and power.

Peña, who has a long artistic career and a newcomer from New York where he has participated in making the New York Summit poster in the Big Apple, also a work for Unesco headquarters in Shanghai, as well as the invitation he made the Cervantes Institute of Stockholm to present there his work "Alvaro Peña: Whims and concerns of a painter" dares on this occasion with a great spectacle of nature and with that condensation of color in a small space.

The Siyasa Museum, which wants to start a flowering activity in this way with luxury, has not been able to choose a reference artist like Álvaro better, and so this Saturday they will be presented at 12 noon, when there is more light in the fields of Cieza , his new exhibition "The flowers of good"

It will be an intense weekend that they have prepared in Cieza, since in addition the CAF Cieza and the Collective of Artists from Murcia join the tourism project through their participation in various exhibitions organized by the Department of Museums, which runs Conchi Villa.

The Murcian artist has exhibited in practically the entire national geography, and his works can be seen in places as diverse as Lithuania, Italy, the United States, Portugal, France, China or Romania

He studied Political Science and Sociology at the Complutense of Madrid and is the youngest member of the Royal Academy of Alfonso X the Wise, starting at a very early age in this world, within which, almost in an innate way, he has developed his creation In the most diverse artistic disciplines, of a multifaceted nature, we could say that his profile is that of an artist with an infinite intellectual and creative restlessness.

In 2011, he was selected for the Innocent Foundation, Innocent Award (Madrid);

In 2012, he won the Institutional Solidarity Award.

and in 2013, Ruralmur Art and Culture Award (Murcia).

as well as in 2015 and 2016 he has been selected in the Eureka International Contemporary Art Prize, which is celebrated in Italy.

He has also received the Diaz Bautista Culture award in 2018

His works can be found in both private and public institutions and collections in Spain, Italy, the United States and China.
