The Department of Social Policies, together with the Obra Social Foundation 'la Caixa', has launched, for the first time from this municipal area, a project to offer all groups of people with disabilities the opportunity to participate in some of the activities that Bloom offers at this time in the municipality of Cieza.
In order for people with difficulties to enjoy nature, the smell of spring, the fields dyed white and pink, it is necessary to adapt the routes and flowering activities so that they can also enjoy during this short period of time.
"However, we find different groups, within the disability, which, due to their particular characteristics, present different needs. The limitations of each group are different and, therefore, the needs are different. Also the preferences of each group are different when choosing an activity. That is why this project has set different goals for each group of people, "says Melba Miñano, responsible councilor.
A total of 330 people, belonging to 6 associations, will participate in the activities.
The groups are ACIFAD, AFEMCE, Tocaos del Ala, AEPISMI, New Foundation Los Albares and ASCOPAS.
Each association, taking into account the needs of the people it serves, will carry out adapted activities, ranging from train ride through flowering to walking tours, country lunches, etc.
"The Obra Social Foundation 'la Caixa', therefore, continues to show its support for the Department of Social Policies, in this case to co-finance this project and make possible the approach of groups with disabilities in the municipality, to the spectacle of nature that you live in Cieza during flowering, "concludes Miñano.
