The Cieza City Council communicates that:
Due to the spread of the Covid-19 Coronavirus worldwide, and its arrival in the Region of Murcia in the last hours, the following prevention measures will be taken, following the health recommendations of the competent authorities.
These measures, until a new official statement, will remain active for the next 15 days:
All the cultural, sports and leisure activities programmed by the Cieza City Council are suspended or postponed, including those belonging to the Flowering Tourist Project.
The "Las Morericas" Senior Center has been closed.
As of March 12, the facilities of the Municipal Library, the study rooms, the WALA free access room, and the Municipal Pool facilities will be closed to the public.
The activity of the Popular University is suspended.
Cleaning and disinfection have been intensified in all municipal facilities.
Sanitizing gel and posters with hygiene recommendations have been distributed in all the educational centers of the municipality, pending the guidelines that the Ministry of Education may issue.
A special municipal monitoring commission has been created in order to carry out close surveillance and take the necessary measures, and all members of the municipal corporation and the general public will be duly informed.

It is important to follow the recommendations of extreme care and personal hygiene, especially in handwashing.
These measures pursue prevention to prevent the spread of the virus.
The contact with the Management of Area IX of Health is permanent and at the present time, we can affirm that in Cieza there is no known case of contagion, so all the measures pursue prevention.
