The weekly market on Wednesdays, suspended within the measures of the City Council for the coronavirus (17/03/2020)

The measures established by the Cieza City Council continue to be applied within the current state of alarm decreed by the Government of Spain to combat the coronavirus.

Among those measures is the suspension this Wednesday of the weekly market.

Likewise, all municipal services are still closed without paying face-to-face attention to citizens. Neighbors will be appropriately served by telematic and telephone channels.

They remind the Consistory that, for reasons of Public Health due to the Coronavirus COVID-19, the Cieza City Council's public service offices will remain closed.

The negotiations with the different services of the City Council will be carried out through telephone channels.

Likewise, due to the spread of the Covid-19 Coronavirus worldwide, and its arrival in the Region of Murcia in the last hours, prevention measures are maintained, following the health recommendations of the competent authorities.

These measures, until a new official statement, will remain active for the next 15 days:

· All the cultural, sports and leisure activities programmed by the Cieza City Council are suspended or postponed, including those belonging to the Flowering Tourist Project.

· The "Las Morericas" Senior Center has been closed.

· The facilities of the Municipal Library, the study rooms, the WALA free access room are closed to the public.

· The activity of the Popular University is suspended.

· Since March 13, all municipal sports facilities, the Rehearsal Room, the Siyâsa Museum and the Teodoro Mill Museum have been closed.

· From this Monday, March 16, and after the announcement of the Ministry of Education, the activity of the Infant School, Early Attention, School and Conservatory of Music and School of Folklore has been suspended.

· Likewise, since Monday, March 16, and following the IMAS guidelines, the activity has been suspended in day centers, for the elderly, for own and concerted disability centers.

· The weekly market on Wednesdays is suspended in the next two weeks.

· SEF training courses are suspended.

· It is recommended that all administrative procedures, as far as possible, be carried out online, by telephone and / or telematically and avoid unnecessary travel.

They insist from the City Council that it is important to follow the recommendations of extreme care and personal hygiene, especially in hand washing.

These measures pursue prevention to prevent the spread of the virus.
