Recommendations for home isolation in mild cases of COVID-19 (31/03/2020)

Isolation place (must have telephone in the room)

1.- Stay at home, avoid leaving the room, keeping it ventilated and with the door closed.

2.- Avoid distances less than 2 meters from the cohabitants.

3.- Avoid visits to your home.

If you need help with shopping, they can be left at the door.

4.- Use your own bathroom;

if you share it, it must be disinfected before others use it.

5.- Keep hand hygiene products in the room.

6.- Have a pedal trash can in the room.

Waste products should be thrown away in the plastic bag placed inside the garbage can.

Knot it well before throwing it away.

Caretaker

1.- The caregiver must not have risk factors for complications, and must self-monitor the symptoms.

2.- Gloves for any contact with secretions.

3.- Wash your hands if it comes into contact, even if you have worn gloves.

Prevent contagion

1.- Cover when you cough and sneeze with a tissue.

2.- Throw the tissue in the trash.

3.- Wash your hands with soap and water.

4.- Do not share personal utensils such as towels, glasses, plates, cutlery and a toothbrush.

5.- Put on the mask if you go out to common spaces or someone enters the room, keep your distance and wash your hands when leaving.

6.- Communicate by phone to avoid leaving the room.

Cleaning

1.- Use a dishwasher or scrub with hot water.

2.- Do not shake the clothes, put them in an airtight bag.

Always wash your hands after touching clothes.

3.- Wash clothes at 60-90º and dry them well.

4.- Clean surfaces that are often touched, bathroom and toilet daily with disposable cloths and bleach (1 part of 5% bleach for 50 parts of water).

Wash your hands when finished.

5.- BAG 1 in the room, which is closed and inserted into BAG 2 (outside the room) where the caregiver's gloves and mask are inserted and goes to BAG 3 that goes to the rest container (none of separation by recycling).
