Information note from the Department of Employment and Economic Development in relation to the Coronavirus crisis (06/04/2020)

Due to the health crisis that we are currently suffering due to the Coronavirus COVID-19, the Department of Employment and Economic Development is working to support both affected economic sectors and workers who have become unemployed in this period of weather.

For this reason, in collaboration with the Cieza Farmer Center (constituted by the Agrarian Organizations FECOAM, COAG and UPA) and with the UGT and CCOO unions, an employment exchange will be prepared for all those who are interested in work in the agricultural sector of the municipality in this year's campaign.

In this way, we intend to fulfill the triple objective of improving the socio-labor conditions of the population (ensuring better remuneration for the unemployed and a way of protection for the irregular population), maintaining the income of the population who needs it the most and of the agricultural activity and sustainability and at the same time the ultimate guarantee of the normal supply of the markets.

It is essential to guarantee the availability of sufficient labor to meet the needs of farmers, so that the correct production is ensured, not only in quantities but also in time, so that it reaches the final consumer without loss of quantity and quality.

The special conditions of population confinement and the restriction of mobility, agreed as an unavoidable sanitary measure, make it even more important that our agri-food production can develop under the best possible conditions given the situation and ensure a full, effective and sufficient supply to the citizens of food products that are needed.

For this, all people interested in working during the agrarian campaign in the farms and cooperatives of the municipality should contact the Department of Employment from Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the phone 968767441 or by sending an email with their details. contact the address empleo@cieza.es.

Subsequently, all jobs will be managed through the Farmer's Center and the most representative companies in the agricultural sector and unions.
