The Civil Guard recovers more than half a ton of peaches in Cieza (19/06/2020)

| Three people, with a history of similar crimes, have been investigated as alleged perpetrators of theft crime | They were caught on board a vehicle full of peaches The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia, within the framework of the 'Plan against robbery in agricultural and livestock farms', has surprised three people in Cieza when they were transporting 600 kilos of peaches allegedly stolen in a tourism vehicle, for which they have been investigated as alleged authors of theft crime. The action began within the framework of the services that the Civil Guard, in collaboration with the Cieza Local Police, has been developing for the prevention of thefts of fruit and vegetable products, mainly on the dates of harvesting. In this case, a Benemérita Citizen Security Prevention patrol detected the presence of a suspicious tourism on a county road in the municipality of Cieza. The agents verified that three individuals with police records for similar criminal acts were traveling in the vehicle and that inside the tourism they accumulated a large amount of peach stone fruit of the Paraguayan variety, of which they could not prove their legal possession. The investigation carried out next confirmed that the arrested are engaged in the street vending of fruits and vegetables. After obtaining all the necessary indications, the Civil Guard has investigated the three suspects, who have been instructed to proceed as alleged perpetrators of theft crime. The three investigated, the recovered fruit and the proceedings investigated have been made available to the Investigating Court of Cieza (Murcia).
