Overcoming the limits of artistic expression (04/07/2020)

To speak of the collective exhibition 'Super art' is to speak of the Semitiel Art Center, its inexhaustible creative energy, its students and a special way of understanding artistic creation.

To discover a sample and its authors, time becomes the perfect ally, in which the absence of haste allows one to find the slow beauty and meaning of the works.

To paraphrase Picasso, "a work of art cannot be something that leaves people indifferent.

It must inspire a reaction, awaken an intense feeling, make those who contemplate it also begin to create, if only in their imaginations."It is time to see the learning outcome of the students of the Semitiel Art Center: 'Super art'.

Large or small, original, technical, tender, colorful, variegated formats, in short, countless possibilities to delight and motivate painting.

The collective exhibition of the Siyasa Museum is, as always around this time, the one aimed at children and adults in the workshops given by José Semitiel Segura in Cieza and San Pedro del Pinatar.

This is the new artistic proposal promoted by the Department of Museums that will bring the unpublished work of its 42 authors closer to August 15, from Tuesday to Saturday, from 10:00 to 14:00. Many children are interested in drawing, painting or crafts, and the best way to reward them is a good workshop with these themes according to each age.

It is a way to unleash creativity and enjoy.

It is much better to bring plastic arts closer to children the younger they are.

"This initiation must be done in a simple way, through learning according to their age, with basic notions of color and drawing," explains Semitiel, who refers to the need to adapt that first contact voluntarily.

Within the framework of the end-of-course exhibition, there are works by alumni Lorena Martínez and Antonio Palazón. Few Czanzan artists are as fruitful and influential as Semitiel.

Her themes and style are constantly evolving.

And it is that it strives to innovate and exceed the limits of artistic expression.

His work reveals the magnitude of his talent and the inexhaustible fire that feeds him.

For him, teaching his students through his unique imprint is above all else.

"For most of them it is the first time that they exhibit in public, so they feel vulnerable before the critical gaze of the viewer, especially in such an imposing place as this." The city can take pride in maintaining a long and fertile relationship with this institution, which serves as a speaker and spokesperson for art.The opening of the sample was signed this Friday in the La Pecera Room with the interventions of the director of the Historical Heritage Service, Joaquín Salmerón; the artist José Semitiel Segura and the councilor for Museums, Conchi Villa.

Effort, work and improvement became the coinciding backbone of their interventions before the attentive gaze of the attendees, who attended the event limited by the capacity and the necessary social distancing measures in this fight to win the battle against the coronavirus.

Among the public was the Councilor for Culture, Melba Miñano, as well as the councilors Manuel Egea, Laura Villa and María Turpin.
