The Cieza City Council held last Tuesday the first meeting of the year of the Police Coordination Table against Gender and Domestic Violence in Cieza, since that meeting had to be suspended in March due to the confinement caused by the pandemic of the Covid-19.In the mentioned table, the councilor for Women and Equality, Melba Miñano; the acting director of the Department of Social Policies, María José Aroca; the lieutenant commander of the Civil Guard Post in Cieza, Gabriel Galván; the Chief Inspector of the Local Police, María José Hernández; the person in charge of gender violence of the Government Delegation in Murcia, María Luisa Barreda; the head of the VioGen team of the Civil Guard, José Villena, and the CAVI psychologist, Francisco Aroca.After reading and approving the minutes of the previous meeting, the situation of the cases of women victims of gender violence who have a restraining order in the town was analyzed, informing the Civil Guard that there are currently 118 active cases, among which there are no cases with high risk assessment of suffering an aggression from their abusers, dividing these cases between medium, low and unappreciated risk.The CAVI then reported on its actions during the period of the state of alarm, having attended to 26 new women victims of male violence and carrying out more than 500 interventions by the CAVI team, of a psychological, social and legal nature.

These interventions include those carried out with new cases and with cases prior to the aforementioned alarm state.The representative of the Government Delegation has conveyed her congratulations and thanks to all the institutions represented in the Police Coordination Table for their work carried out against gender violence in the adverse situation in which the Covid-19 has placed us.
