Saorín informs that the meetings of non-cohabitating people are restricted to a maximum of 6 people (26/08/2020)

Cieza.es | Aug 26, 2020, 11:49 a.m.The Councilor for Health and Public Health of the City of Cieza recalls that the measure was announced this Monday by the Minister of Health, Manuel Villegas, while showing his concern about the evolution of this "second wave" of the coronavirus pandemic.The regional government of Murcia has agreed in general for the entire Region of Murcia to limit the maximum number for social gatherings to six people who do not live together, both in public and private places and provided that the prevention measures and the safety distance are not met .

This measure is applicable to sectors of activity such as hotels and restaurants, as well as celebrations in homes.In a press release, the Councilor for Health and Public Health of the City of Cieza, Francisco Saorín, recalled that it was the Minister of Health, Manuel Villegas, who reported this Monday of this measure that was agreed at the meeting of the Committee on Monitoring Covid-19, once the latest reports from the Epidemiology Service have been analyzed and since more than 40 percent of infections in the Region are related to celebrations, hospitality and family gatherings.Given this situation, the limitation of authorized attendees to a maximum of 30 people in celebrations, weddings, baptisms, communions and the like, was also agreed in general in the Region of Murcia, another of the sources of outbreaks in the region.

Similarly, in wakes and funerals a new limitation of 15 people maximum in closed establishments and 25 abroad has been agreed.Saorín has shown his concern about the evolution of this "second wave" of the coronavirus pandemic since the latest balance of the Ministry of Health shows that in the last 24 hours, 221 new positive cases of covid-19 have been diagnosed in the Region, which brings the number of active cases to 2,229, of which 120 are admitted to the hospital, 19 of them in the ICU.Finally, the Councilor for Health and Public Health of the City Council of Cieza has asked the citizens that, although fortunately the municipality is far from the situation of other towns in the region, "do not raise your guard", that they comply "to the letter "the decisions and recommendations of the health authorities and that they remember that the use of a mask, the maintenance of two meters of physical distance and frequent washing of the hands with soap and water or with a hydroalcoholic gel is essential, since in greatly depends on each one of us.
