A safe and coordinated return to sports (18/09/2020)

The Sports Service, in collaboration with sports clubs, has drawn up a series of proposals that will be transferred to the General Directorate of Sports to resume activity in sports facilities as soon as possible. In recent days, the Department of Sports has held several meetings with the different sports clubs to report on the guidelines that the General Directorate of Sports of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia transferred to the mayor of the City of Cieza. From the regional Administration, they foresee the return to training of those senior regional competitions for the beginning of October, with the start of these competitions scheduled for the month of November.

With regard to grassroots sports, depending on the evolution of the health situation in the Region, they would allow the start of training for the beginning of November.

Four weeks before the start of the competitions, which will be expected in December. The Sports Service of the Cieza City Council, with the support of the different sports clubs, will forward to the General Sports Directorate the proposal to return to training as soon as possible, as long as the health situation allows it and complying with the protocols that are being developed jointly between the CARM and the municipalities in a strict manner. This measure tries to carry out technical and physical training adapted to each of the sports modalities individually and without contacts, where the acquisition of a series of values ??that only sport is capable of transmitting is also worked on.Among the different proposals, the idea of ??reducing the number of trainings per team per week is transferred with the aim of achieving a lesser traffic of athletes in the facilities on a daily basis, leaving a reasonable time for disinfection between each training, and also the idea of ??not resuming competitions in the lower categories until the health situation improves, thus avoiding contact between players from different municipalities. As Carlos Semitiel, Sports Councilor affirms, "we are prepared to return to sports activity in our facilities.

Our clubs have different professionals who will comply with strict protocols to guarantee safety in them, thus creating a safe space for that our athletes can perform physical activity at least twice a week ".Semitiel has emphasized that "sport cannot be idle any longer, if we comply with the protocols, the facilities can become safe spaces for sports.

We are all aware of the healthy benefits that it implies, even more so in grassroots sport, as it is a key age for motor development.

For this reason, we are going to transfer to the Autonomous Community our intention to start training individually as soon as possible.
