Cieza asks Roads to speed up procedures and authorizations for the implementation of important projects for the municipality (29/09/2020)

Pascual Lucas emphasizes the authorizations for the passage of the RM-B25 La Parra road for the works of the El Jinete Bridge, and for the works to adapt the sidewalks and trees on the Camino de Madrid. The mayor of Cieza, Pascual Lucas, visited the CARM General Directorate of Roads this week to meet with its manager, José Antonio Fernández Lladó.In this meeting, the representative of Cieza addressed the general manager numerous topics of interest for the evolution of projects highly anticipated by the residents of Cieza.

In some of them they have been working for years from the local Administration; others have been requested from the Autonomous Community on several occasions because they are the responsibility of the regional Administration. The first of them, the El Maripinar elmeda, was already discussed last week with the Minister of the Environment, to whom the councilor Lucas gave the report prepared by the specialized company Doctor Arbol for the integral action of security and conservation to be carried out in said grove and its subsequent maintenance and annual review.

This project already has the approval of the Environment technicians. For this reason, the City Council of Cieza has requested its application as soon as possible, in order to safeguard the most important elmeda in Europe, as it is included in the Catalog of Singular Trees of the Region of Murcia.Traffic light regulation at the exit of CiezaAs the second issue on the agenda, he requested the traffic light regulation of the exit from Cieza to the old Madrid-Cartagena national highway.

The Consistory had already requested the construction of a roundabout, but the mayor explained that, "if this is not possible, we ask at least the immediate regulation of this point with traffic lights, since this crossing supports a very important amount of traffic because they converge different municipal services and facilities, such as the funeral home, IES Los Albares, the Alex Yepes Sports Pavilion, the La Arboleja Municipal Soccer Field and the La Vega-Lorenzo Guirao Regional Hospital ".Road cleaningThe cleaning and maintenance of the RM532 Cieza-Mula and RM-B19 Cieza-Calasparra highways has also been a topic discussed at this meeting.Regarding the first, the RM532 Cieza-Mula, Lucas, has required the cleaning of ditches and adaptation of the pavement, which in a first section could cover up to the junction of the El Jinete-Almadenes road.

As municipal technicians have explained, "the state of the firm is already lamentable, since it is possible that it has been without investing in it for several decades."As for the second road, the RM-B19 Cieza-Calasparra, has stated that "this road supports a lot of traffic throughout the year, but especially in summer, being a very important road for the agricultural sector." In addition, he comments that "repair work after DANA is still pending at some points."On the other hand, from the City Council of Cieza they have explained that "it is important to keep the scuppers clean at the exit of the Camino del Molino, so that water does not accumulate in the gutters that is corrupted and, consequently, causes bad odors; therefore , we ask to study the collection of these waters in this area, specifically, from the exit of the Camino del Molino (near the town center), both those that emanate naturally and those that emanate from rain ".Streamlining of authorizations from the regional governmentLikewise, the mayor of Cieza has requested Fernández Lladó to expedite the authorizations to carry out a work and an important project for the municipality as much as possible.

On the one hand, the passage of the RM-B25 road in La Parra for the construction works of the Puente del Jinete and, on the other, the authorization for the execution of the works of adaptation of sidewalks and trees belonging to the new Urban Tree Plan to be developed with EDUSI on Avenida Ramón y Cajal (Camino de Madrid).
