The municipal government applies measures to face the growth of infections (19/10/2020)

| "while the Community reduces the capacity in the hotel industry to 40%" | The municipal government of the City Council of Cieza has announced the implementation, from this very Monday, of a series of measures aimed at controlling the growing number of infections by covid-19 that have occurred in recent days in the municipality and that have reached an incidence of 357 per 100,000 inhabitants.

The playgrounds are closed and all face-to-face cultural activities are suspended.

For their part, regional authorities have announced the reduction of capacity to 40% in bars and restaurants.The First Deputy Mayor, María Jesús López, and the Councilor for Health, Francisco Saorín, have explained that the situation is "worrying" and that, after several meetings of the government team since Sunday, the decision has been made to adopt measures that "they will try to stop the growth of infections."As of today, all children's play areas in the city are closed, the capacity of sports centers is reduced to 40 percent and all face-to-face cultural activities are suspended.

On the other hand, it has also decreed the closure of all study rooms and the reduction of capacity to 40 percent in museums and libraries.

Finally, also from today, vehicle traffic will be eliminated every day at 5:00 p.m.
