The deadline for the new line of direct aid for the hospitality sector in Cieza is open (20/10/2020)

| The deadline to apply for it is next October 26 and its total budget is 70,000 euros | The Department of Commerce and Hospitality of the City Council of Cieza, led by María Jesús López, announced this new package of measures several weeks ago, including a line of direct aid and the reduction of the occupancy rate for tables and chairs during the year 2021."The grants, which are yet another example of the local government's commitment to the hospitality sector, will be able to assist more than 60 businesses in the municipality once these grants are awarded to those who have requested them with a budget of 70,000 euros.

The deadline for this began last Friday and ends on October 26, "municipal sources indicate. The mayor Pascual Lucas and the responsible councilor, Mª Jesús López, held a meeting with representatives of the Association of Hoteliers of Cieza to share needs and the new measures that are added to those already adopted a few months ago and that intend to support the sector in these hard times. The hospitality sector continues to be one of the most affected since the pandemic began due to the restrictive measures that have been applied regarding capacity, hours, the prohibition of the use of bars in the premises and the limitations of social gatherings.

Yesterday the CARM applied new restrictions due to the number of cases in Cieza and in several municipalities in the Region that are also going through the same situation. In addition to this line of aid, there is the discount for the occupancy rate for tables and chairs during 2021, which will be approved in plenary session soon, and a new edition of the 'We are 10' campaign to encourage consumption in shops and hospitality, which is already in operation for a value of € 100,000.For his part, López has said that "from the City Council we continue working to address as effectively as possible this health crisis that is affecting the economy in a very hard way, and our objective is to implement measures that help the commerce and the hospitality industry of Ciezana in very difficult times in which the uncertainty due to covid-19 does not allow them to make effective business decisions.
