The fight against unemployment has been a constant since the change of government occurred in 2015, which is why since the new corporation was created, the City Council of Cieza has opted to improve active employment policies from the first day.

"The result of this has been that Cieza is one of the municipalities with the fewest unemployed in the entire Region of Murcia," say municipal sources. They ensure that this improvement in active employment policies has been possible thanks to investments in new infrastructures, such as the new Cieza Hospitality and Commerce Laboratory, CICOLA, located in the basement of Plaza de España and that has been possible thanks to the financing of ERDF Funds from the European Union under the framework of the Sustainable Urban Development Strategy, or with the reform of other facilities that were already in a precarious situation, such as the new classrooms of the Department of Employment and Development Economic and the Farmer's Center.Consequently, both the Department of Commerce and the Department of Employment and Economic Development have obtained the homologation of 4 new Certificates of Professionalism, aimed at the Hospitality and Pastry sector.

These Certificates will have a maximum of 15 participants from our town, and will be taught in the new center in Plaza de España, Laboratorio de Comercio Cieza (CICOLA).These four Certificates of Professionalism will make it possible to improve once again the active employment policies, and with it the qualification of our fellow citizens, increasing the possibilities of improving their employment for those who are developing this professional activity, or those who are unemployed. The homologation of the four Certificates of Professionalism includes the training actions basic cooking operations (HOTR0108) level I, pastry (HOTR0109) level I, cooking (HOTR0408) level II and pastry (HOTR0509) level II.It is necessary to state that these training actions have been generated by the demands collected within the rounds of visits established by the Local Development Dynamization Plan (PdDL), "betting on meaningful training, that is, oriented to what is demanded by the local companies ", explains the mayor responsible, Antonio Moya. For her part, María Jesús López said that "CICOLA is one of the great projects for training and entrepreneurship in hospitality and commerce, a leading facility in the Region that has become, in the circumstances that we currently live in, a center very necessary and for which the City Council works very hard to help these sectors to boost the economy.

"More detailed information on the different training actions to be carried out, as well as the registration, can be consulted at the Department of Employment and Economic Development, INFOEM building, located on Camino de Murcia s / n.
