The events occurred when a Cieza Citizen Security Prevention patrol was alerted to the accident that occurred in La Atalaya, due to the fall of a cyclist who was practicing sports in the area. Immediately, a raid began in the area that allowed it to be located in an area with difficult access for vehicle traffic.

The cyclist had a bone fracture in his left arm. The Civil Guards requested the presence of emergency medical services while they transferred the injured person to a point where the ambulance could access. From that place, she was transferred to the Cieza hospital where it was known that the person assisted was positive for Covid-19 and that, apparently, the home quarantine had been broken. Therefore, the cyclist, a resident of Abarán, was proposed for sanction for not respecting home isolation and for leaving the town where he resides, without just cause.
