NNGG Cieza regrets the approval of a new educational without consensus (20/11/2020)

The popular youth consider it an atrocity to carry out a law of such depth with their backs to the educational community and Spanish society, taking advantage of the state of alarm. In a press release, New Generations Cieza wanted to show its rejection of the new educational law, known as the Celaá law, understanding that it has been done by abusing an exceptional circumstance, such as the state of alarm, and without taking into account the educational community, thus limiting the fundamental rights of citizens. In addition, the popular youth continue, it is a law that attacks families, since it prevents parents from freely choosing the educational model and the center to which they want to take their children, while at the same time making a frontal attack on the concerted school. As if that were not enough, with this new law Spanish is also attacked, eliminating it as a vehicular language, leaving the CCAA to choose the language in which to teach children and depriving minors of their right to know their native language. Likewise, it is a law that does not reward effort, but encourages failure and mediocrity, since failures will not be taken into account and repeating a year is considered "exceptional". Lastly, it is an attack on special education centers, it is a law that is unsupportive with an absolute lack of empathy and sensitivity, leaving minors with disabilities and their families in a very complicated situation. Therefore, the PSOE is voting in favor of closing the Center for people with disabilities "Los Olivos" in Cieza. From Nueva Generaciones Cieza we want to appeal to all political parties to work on an educational law with a majority consensus and that takes into account the educational community.

An educational pact is necessary that takes into account teachers, students and families, since we cannot allow ourselves to change the law every 5 years if we want a quality education that trains professionals who can compete in Europe. In this way, New Generations Cieza aims to demonstrate our concern for quality education.
