[Aurora Montoya seeks a contemporary relationship between collage and our present (14/12/2020)

The artist ends up projecting his personality in the work, in an organic way, and the work itself is a reflection of that personality.

This is how Aurora Montoya Lozano (Jumilla, 1968) sees her relationship with the practice of collage, a personal facet that is now four years old and with which she continues to enjoy and learn.

At first, remember that the illusion arises from the mere fact of seeing how the 'Collaura' project materializes.

As time goes by, she continues to maintain that same hope, exploring her creativity.

The exhibition 'Analogical Collage' reflects the soul of his artistic gaze.

In love with her work as an artist, she has never lost the ability to adapt and continue to grow.

Works that really have to do with their authors seem to portray them. And it is that they are impregnated with the indelible mark of those exceptional looks that are the looks of the great creators. Montoya is filled with happiness for this first solo exhibition, which she has been wanting for a long time.

He did not want to think about it, he had it as an aside, because he did not intend it to distract his path or his way of creating.

From her it is necessary to emphasize above all its capacity to communicate.

It seems easy, but it is not at all: she is a rare example of a plastic creator who, in her words, "once I have finished the work I realize what it expresses, and it is always a message to me.

It's more powerful than I expected.

" It is sensed that he likes to experiment with the constructive essence of collage, and plays with the messages, which produces works in which he expands the category of this technique towards visual activism.

The vital and artistic exercise of her hands has prepared her to speak with them,so that others remember his touch better than his voice. She professes herself a feminist and the truth is that women's issues frequently attract her attention.

"It is true that my work is very focused on the female experience, but I do not want to leave it only there in a vindication of this nature, but also to be a vindication of the social, of the things that are n happening in the world or of the universal issues that concern us all ".

Art can be an instrument of knowledge that arouses in people honest positions in the face of different realities.

Nor does he believe that he is excessively inclined to idealize the feeling of love, but he often composes works that give rise to evoke images rich in affection.

"Sometimes I am surprised by the final result because I tend to pour out personal emotions, needs and feelings from my life.I imagine that the viewer is not going to see the transfer of what I feel, "he confesses. When observing a collage, the viewer realizes how the artist applies creativity, ingenuity and skill in order to find the elements to express an idea or search for an answer.

This exhibition promoted by the Council of Museums is a visual exploration of that search, which leaves aside the orientation of its first stage.

"The work of my early days is very different from that of now.

It stood out for its color and strength, very much from the eighties, and that it recalled a very pop aesthetic.

However, the one from now has blank spaces and a Centralized.

I find it a lot to work with portraits.

In the exhibition I incorporate very few pieces that do not have a portrait or have the human figure as the center of interest.

What I use as little as possible is the word, "he says. With them he expresses emotions and concerns that he could not explain otherwise. Strangely close and at the same time elusive, the compositions insist on seducing us while hiding their most intrinsic nature.

"I have not only made flat collages, but I have also dared with the volumes in larger format works.

I use newspaper or silk paper and stitch with wool as ornaments.

In the same way, I present collages pasted on canvas, not only on paper.

As a background I have a weakness for newspaper paper, because whatever I use it, it always looks good, "he explains.

Proof of this are the large-format paintings 'Breaking vicious circles' or 'M mate'.

Creativity was the initial engine of this project and also the one that led it until today.

Therefore, despite the difficulties it has encountered in these years and the obstacles it had to overcome,I never thought of giving up.

Today he continues to face new challenges. Behind are four years of silent learning, which are now on display in this exhibition open to the public until January 12.

The presentation took place this Saturday at the Siyasa Museum with the presence of the mayor of Cieza, Pascual Lucas, who was accompanied by the Councilor for Museums, Conchi Villa, and the director of the Municipal Museum Service, Joaqu n Salmer n.

The councilors Melba Miñano, Antonio Montiel and the president of the Association of Artists of Cieza, Mar a Joaquina S nchez, also attended.

The work of the organization was reflected in the assembly.

Perfectly interwoven, the ensemble conveys a brilliant formal impression open to the imagination of the visitor fascinated by the serenity and beauty of the collage, and the energy of its author.

"The museum reserves the designated fair and Christmas days for emerging artists from Cieza in order to give them visibility, "Villa said.
