[The Plenary definitely approves to discount the IBI to properties where economic activities declared of special interest are developed (16/12/2020)

The Municipal Plenary of Cieza has definitively approved this Wednesday a modification in the IBI Ordinance which will include an optional bonus contemplated in Royal Decree 2/2004 in its article 74.

Said The bonus would reach a maximum of 95%, and for this it is necessary the prior processing of a declaration of special interest or municipal utility due to the concurrence of social, cultural, historical, artistic or promotion of employment, being necessary that the Plenary admit these special circumstances. People who are tenants of premises used by these entities may also be added to this tax advantage, as long as they have a contract with the rights settled in the year prior to the request, at least, and in the aforementioned contract reflects that it is the lessee who pays the IBI to the lessor. On the other hand, it is established that the bonus will be for 3 years from the granting thereof.

All applicants must be up to date regarding tax obligations with the City Council. Councilor Antonio Ignacio Mart nez-Real, valued the development of the Plenary as positive and beneficial for the town of Cieza "since the implementation of the new IBI bonus, for properties where economic activities of It is of particular interest, it will surely have a positive effect on the industry in Cieza.
