"During the pandemic, and especially in the first months of confinement, the balconies and windows of all Ciezanos became protagonists as a space for expression and neighborhood communication.

From the City Council of Cieza we want to pay tribute to them, and to the same time to collaborate with the Christmas aesthetics of the municipality by encouraging the participation of all the residents, who have done such an important work during these hard months, "explains a municipal statement. For this, from the Councilors of Celebrations and Citizen Participation, the 1st Christmas Balcony Decoration Contest has been called.

All homes with balconies or windows that wish to participate in the contest, the participation being limited to one per home. To participate, you must send until December 26, through the email participacionciudadanacieza@gmail.com, a photo of the balcony or decorated window, and the address and identification of the owner. "We encourage all of you to participate in this contest and to contribute to giving a Christmas atmosphere to our streets, in circumstances as adverse as those we are going through", indicate the same sources. In addition, participants will opt for the following cash prizes: First prize: € 300.

Second prize: € 200.

Third prize: € 100.

The jury's decision will be made public on January 28 at 8:00 p.m.

in the Manuela Burl Room.

In the event that sanitary conditions do not allow face-to-face delivery, another way of delivering the prize to the winners will be chosen.
