"I'm like you, but do not yet know" is the slogan they have chosen associations of people with relatives gathered in FEAFES mental illness.
Within the commemoration of World Mental Health Day, which was held on October 10 in more than 100 countries, Mental Health Federation of Murcia Region celebrated the XVIII Regional Meeting of Families.
The ceremony took place on Saturday October 22 in Cieza.
This year, the host AFEMCE Association has been hosting about 600 people with mental illness and their families from throughout the region.
The welcome ceremony was held at the Plaza of Spain Cieza chaired by D. Pascual Lucas Diaz, Mayor of Cieza and Doña Violante Tomás Olivares, Minister of Family and Equal Opportunities Murcia that have accompanied Ms. Delia Topham Reguera, President Mental Health FEAFES Region of Murcia, José García Marín, President of FUSAMEN, Dona Josefa Ruiz Moreno President of AFEMCE, Jonathan D. Carrasco Yuste Committee Representative Persons with Mental Illness FEAFES of Murcia, and Ms. Pilar Morales Gálvez, President of CERMI Region of Murcia.
They have addressed a few words of support and welcome attendees.
Before the start of activities, the morning was enlivened by dance groups and choirs Cieza dances.
The activities organized for this day were: cultural tour of the old town of Cieza, a hiking trail and a drum circle in the square of Spain.
Later FOOD coexistence of all households was held in the hall of the restaurant "Meson del Moro".
The event ended with speeches by the Presidents of the Associations and the delivery of the flag of the host entity meeting the next 2017, AFEMNOR Mental Health Northwest Region.
