Speaking to the media, Pascual Lucas, Mayor of Cieza, explained that the Infoparticipa awards are granted by the Laboratory of Journalism and Communication for Citizenship Plural (LPCCP) of the Autonomous University of Barcelona to reward the quality and transparency of the public communication and Infoparticipa in the national project includes researchers from the University of Murcia and the Catholic University San Antonio (UCAM).

In this regard clarified the Mayor, the City of Cieza has obtained a recognition of the work of the Department of Transparency and the entire government team to provide the cleanest possible way all municipal work.

In this report only approved 14 of the 45 municipalities in the region, which shows that there are still many councils that do not want to know anything about your municipal work, which leads to suspect that a major change is needed in the mindset of many mayoralties.

This is one of the most visible results of this legislature, it has been clear need to turn around the image of the City, modernizing services and providing clarity and transparency in all actions and procedures.

Finally, we emphasize that our goal is to continue to improve, not only in terms of transparency, but we are actively working on participation, integrating citizens and associations in all decisions that may affect them, asking them involved with us in managing and constantly improve our town.
