The mayor of Cieza, Pascual Lucas, visited this week, along with municipal technicians, the installation of a bar circuit that will be the first calisthenics area, which is located in the park of El Arenal, next to the Iron Bridge.
The area where this performance has been performed is frequently frequented daily by dozens of people, especially those who practice sports.
Calisthenics is a sports discipline based on exercises performed outdoors, mainly with bars.
The investment has been around 2,500 euros.
He also did the same with the works carried out on the skateboard, located in a garden next to the avenue Giménez Castellanos, next to the Pedro Rodríguez School.
The basic project of adaptation of the so-called 'skatepark-roller' occupies an area of more than one hundred square meters, designed according to the demands made by fans of this specialty in the municipality.
The cost of the action amounts to 4,500 euros.
The mayor also visited the municipal soccer field La Arboleja, where the perimeter wall has been removed from the pitch.
Instead a padded railing has been installed that allows the area of the playground to be delimited from the space reserved for spectators.
In addition, access to the field has also been improved for a total amount of 17,266 euros.
Pascual Lucas said that these actions satisfy the demands of neighbors, clubs and sports associations of the locality, and recalled that its objective is the improvement of sports equipment.
For the councilman these interventions define the policy developed by the government team in the field of sports.
