Family subsidizes more than € 3.7 million for 441 disabled people in Cieza (07/02/2017)

The Councilor for Family and Equal Opportunities, Violante Tomás, together with the mayor of Cieza, Pascual Lucas Díaz, and the president of the association for people with physical disabilities 'Tocaos del Ala', José Piñera, visited today the day center of the Association, and stressed that the Community this year allocated more than 3.7 million euros to subsidize services to improve the quality of life of 441 people with disabilities in the municipality, out of a total of 84 million that the Instituto Murciano de Acción Social ) Is intended for this group.

Specifically, the Ministry, through Imas, will fund this year with 164,000 euros 16 places of the center of 'Tocaos del Ala', where comprehensive care is offered to the basic personal, therapeutic and sociocultural needs of people with physical disabilities affected by different Degrees of dependency, to promote their autonomy and to remain in their usual environment.

Likewise, it will allocate 3,026,447 euros to attend to another 124 people with disabilities of the municipality who are assisted in the residence 'Los Olivos' and day centers of the Association Association of Parents and Protectors of Psychic Disabled (Ascopas) and the New Los Albares Foundation.

Likewise, it contributes to the maintenance of the early care center of the municipality which is attended by 260 children, endowed with a grant of 129,483 euros.

The main objective of early childhood care programs is for minors with developmental disorders to receive care that enhances their development and enables their integration into the family and social environment, as well as their personal autonomy, taking into account the psycho-social aspects And from a preventive and assistance side.

In addition, the Imas will finance with 439,000 euros 41 places in the day center of the Association of relatives and people with mental illness of Cieza and Comarca (Afemce).

On the other hand, the Family and Equal Opportunities Department will invest more than 51,000 euros in the care of families and children of the municipality.

Also, it will finance with 359,000 euros the social services of primary attention of Cieza, what supposes an increase of the 7.3 percent with respect to the budgeted last year.
