Inauguration of the new Sports Pavilion Cieza made with funds from Plan E (26/07/2010)

Cieza receives state funding in 2009 and 2010 about 10 million euros for 24 projects that create more than two hundred direct jobs

The Government delegate, Rafael González Tovar, and the Mayor of Cieza, Antonio Tamayo, inaugurated this morning the new Sports Pavilion located on the street Cieza Blas de Otero of the town.

The works have been carried out with funding from the Government of Spain through the Local Investment Fund in 2009 and have had a cost of 2,462,971 euros.

During the making of them, have created 40 new jobs, of which 5 have been ups and 35 integrated into the contractor.

The new Sports Pavilion Cieza consists of ground floor and basement.

The new facilities include basketball court, volleyball, handball, indoor soccer, as well as a grandstand.

Furthermore, inside the pavilion features a climbing wall for beginners practice climbing.

It also has storage for sports equipment, a lobby with an access control area, changing rooms for athletes, judges and monitors, a conference room with seating for 50 people, two offices, a nursing kit and the public toilets , among other agencies.

Moreover, in the lower ground floor has built a parking area has also reserved a space for bicycles.

Subsequently, the Government Delegate and the Mayor of Cieza also inaugurated the new park built between Calles Garcilaso de la Vega, and Fernando Velarde Daoiz and III that has been converted into the native soil, paving a new access corridor and installed lighting.

This work, also the State Fund, 2009, has had a cost of 129,000 euros.

González Tovar explained that the Municipality of Cieza has received state funding in 2009 and 2010 a total of 9,975,859 euros is earmarked to finance 23 construction projects and a program of municipal spending on social policies.

These projects are expected to create a total of 207 thousand jobs and also finance social actions in aid for people at risk of social exclusion.

Finally, the delegate expressed his satisfaction with the high compliance of the commitments made by President Zapatero through state funding has already been entered in the accounts of the municipalities in the region of 300 million euros from 400 million allocated .

Gave as an example of compliance with the town of Cieza, in which the Government of Spain has paid 15 of the 17 projects from the State Fund of 2009 and has also entered the 85 per cent of 5 of the 20 projects submitted in 2010.
