The Minister of Public Works and Planning, José Ballesta, accompanied by the Mayor of Cieza, Antonio Tamayo, today introduced the proposal, "Re-new-all ', winner of ideas for converting the Casa de las Delicias the municipality in a hotel.
"The regional government promotes the recovery of XVIII century building, located on the site of the Pot of Los Alamos, symbol of the natural heritage of the municipality. Through this project, conceived from the premises of respect for the environment, energy saving and accessibility, will seek an increase in cultural and tourist value of the area, "said José Ballesta.
The proposal, made by Ana Morcillo, José Morcillo, Jonathan Russell and Juan Antonio Guardiola, provides for the adequacy of the access road to the plot, of 30,400 meters square from the road between Cieza with Northwest Highway and the town of Mula (RM-532), and the recovery of the palm-lined promenade, which has centuries-old species, for recreational use.
It also raises the cleaning of the undergrowth and the introduction of native species of trees that provide shade, such as nispoleros, jujube, pomegranate, almond, lemon and orange trees that provide color and rich landscape.
With regard to area of residence, the project includes new construction area of 660 square meters and the rehabilitation of a total of 360 square meters.
The building will house a total of nine rooms and two suites, meeting rooms, dining room and cafeteria as well as various administrative and service areas.
Annex to the original construction raises a new elevated structure, to minimize the impact on the environment, which houses a swimming pool and vegetation cover, as well as rooms on the bottom.
"From the Department through the Directorate General of Planning and Housing, are enhanced activities focused on improving the quality of the landscape as this project poses environmental recovery plant for this property also poses a water reuse system, recycling of organic waste as a fertilizer and use of solar panels for power, "said the counselor.
The Ministry, through the program 'Drafting of architectural projects', with 49,500 euros supports the writing of this project, which is exposed for a month in the Library Padre Salmeron with outstanding work with the second and third prizes and entries.
