The Minister of Industry, Enterprise and Innovation, José Ballesta, today, with the mayor of Cieza, Antonio Tamayo, the program designed to attract investors for the municipality.

To carry out the Institute for the Promotion of the Region (Info), in collaboration with the City Council has identified the essential characteristics of the municipality that has resulted in a document that serves as a 'letter' for companies looking for a place where invest.

"This tool will be essential to attract investment to the town, both from outside and from within the region, by centralizing in one concise and focused document all the information they need to make a business decision," said the adviser, adding "The goal is to provide confidence and security to the investor with information, advice and support."

The document provides answers to the questions that a company makes before deciding to settle in a municipality.

The Minister of Industry, Enterprise and Innovation said that "it has included an analysis of the municipality from the economic point of view and most important productive sectors in which Cieza known for being more competitive."

It also presents the incentives and tax credits that can benefit a company that decides to settle in Cieza, and a list of industrial land available with all the features of interest, such as price per square meter, services and accessibility, among others.

This initiative is part of the actions envisaged in the agreement 'Entrepreneurial City' that was signed with Cieza in December last year.

In this sense, it is a performance that is developing in all municipalities that have signed the agreement and, as noted José Ballesta, "is a competitive advantage for our municipalities compared to other regions."

Remodeled Market Square

On the other hand, the Minister of Industry, Enterprise and Innovation visited the Market Square of the town, once you have completed the rehabilitation of the property that has been carried out within the Council Plan to Promote Retail, which has meant an investment of 102,000 euros.

"With this action we want to boost the retail Cieza and foster innovation and sustainable development," explained the director Ballesta, adding that "the building includes all the services offered by a market adapted to new trends and new commercial uses ".

This remodeling is aimed at promoting commercial revitalization, to value local trade and highlight the image of the same quality and professionalism in order to increase their competitiveness and stimulate sales.

José Ballesta said in this regard that "the regional government wants to turn the squares of supplies in trade incentive instruments in the urban centers of the towns and generating new jobs on their own".

The Market Square is one of the most representative buildings of Cieza, declared a World Heritage Regional Architectural Interest, designed by the architect Julio Carrillero in 1929.
