The Civil Guard clarifies the illegal cutting of 260 olive trees in Cieza (05/12/2014)

The ROCA Team has seized 22 tons of olive wood

The Civil Guard in the region of Murcia has developed a research aimed at establishing the damage on a farm in the municipality of Cieza, where 260 olive trees, culminating with the complaint of a person suspected of committing the offenses were cleared damage and fraud.

The last November and under the 'Plan against theft on farms and livestock' civil guards the ROCA team began the investigation when the owner of a farm of Cieza reported damage on a farm where they were 260 olive trees felled.

This information led to the identification of the company whose workers had made such action.

This is a business selling firewood located in Murcia.

The Meritorious contacted the company manager who said he had signed a contract to carry out this operation with the alleged owner of the farm, a neighbor of Fortuna, which he was paid the amount of 1,500 euros in advance of the said purchase.

Recovered 22 tons of olive wood

At the place of a store selling firewood have been recovered 22,000 kilos of firewood from supposedly the ilíctia felling of 260 olive trees, which have been deposited in their facilities available to the judicial authority.

The Civil Guard continued the investigation which culminated in the identification and location of the person who allegedly was behind this sale a male, Spanish and 33 years of offenses against him harm and fraud.

The accused, recovered effects and the proceedings have been brought before the Magistrate's Court in Cieza (Murcia).
