IU-Greens want it to act on the recovery and rehabilitation of the old rural schools (29/01/2015)

José Eduardo Illueca Ballester, councilor of the Municipal Group of IU-Greens in the city of Cieza, is the signatory of a motion on the ownership and use of the buildings were used to house the old rural schools in the town of Cieza.

This local group has previously presented, and along several corporations, various initiatives to recover the buildings that once were serving rural schools that are located in rural places.

So far no results.

As explained in this council, "as recorded in the minutes of the regular plenary session in September 2008, both the Department of Heritage and the Department of Tourism, through the Tourism Promotion Plan Almadenes Canyon, and were by then working to recover ownership of these properties and to rehabilitate the purposes of tourism development ".

Moreover, "we also said at that time that since the law office was preparing documentation to start tending to regain possession of one of these buildings prosecutions, the old village school in Veredilla".

But, as usual, "the words the wind took them six years later no evidence has been brought forward any action in this field."

In the words of Illueca, "rural schools are a heritage of the people of Cieza, which has been forgotten by successive governments that have ruled the town, we believe it appropriate to make an effort for recovery, enhancement and maintenance of the future , trying to assign an application that promotes the general interest of the population. "

Add this council that "it is necessary to know the net worth of these assets and recover their property and municipal use, putting an end to illegal occupations and allocating them to profit public interest" to this end.

In the political group of IU-Greens understand that "it has been more than enough since 2008 to have been able to confirm any concrete result of the efforts then announced time, and is obliged, therefore, to revisit the issue."

To this end, the proposed ecosocialists includes "the request that the Department of Heritage report at the next regular plenary following: which of the old rural schools is part today heritage of the City of Cieza and what no, what are, if any, occupied by third parties and which are available to the City; and likewise what actions contemplated in connection with these municipal buildings, from the Department of Tourism are, and how and what deadlines will be addressed ".
