'Let no control your life "is the campaign slogan of Youth Red Cross aimed at preventing the consequences of psychological control violence occurs in relationships

The organization is concerned by the violence, and that despite the different policies, the work performed by many institutions and resources, has not yet been eliminated.

On the International Day against violence against women, Spanish Red Cross remains committed to those who suffer such violence and advocates to promote a model of society in which there is real equality between men and women, is to combat discrimination of women and for their empowerment, and there is no violence.

The work of Red Cross women

Spanish Red Cross carries out different projects aimed at women who are or have been victims of gender violence.

One of them is the telephone service and protection for victims of gender violence, known as ATENPRO of the Government Office for Gender Violence Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality, managed by the Spanish Federation Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP) and providing the institution around the country.

Through this service for women victims of domestic violence receive a mobile terminal connected 24 hours a day, 365 days a year the focus of Red Cross, which provides psychosocial support professionals.

So far this year have handled more than 15,800 calls, of which 265 correspond to Murcia many victims.

From Red Cross Youth educational work, preventive and awareness with adolescents, which seeks to promote reflection and critical thinking to violence against women, and promote a model of society in which they participate actively in finding develops eradication and real equality between women and men.

It counts with different tools, including www.sobregenero.es an interactive portal aimed at young people, parents and teachers computers where information on gender equality and new masculinities, coeducation, responsibility is offered, etc.

In addition, the volunteer team of Cieza Youth Red Cross will organize an exhibition and conference for the different types of violence against women.

The conference members CAVI (Specialized Care Center for Women Victims of Violence) and the Department of Women involved.
