After a month and a half of successful meetings, the strategic plan 'Cieza 2015: Integrative City' has presented its conclusions.
The main objective of these meetings has been to define the future city from the suggestions of the residents, in order to ensure active participation.
In this first step has agreed a number of projects that were revealed by the Councillor for General Administration, Maria Jesus Lopez, during the final conference held Monday afternoon at the Municipal Library Padre Salmeron.
These findings must now be approved by the full City Council of Cieza to be held soon.
For that reason, the General Councillor for Administration could not help expressing his "satisfaction" with the "important" process of citizen involvement in public participation phase to develop a strategy for sustainable urban development.
The conclusions presented are summarized in six sections, headed by the contents of the workshops: promotion of ICTs through local management actions electronics and smart cities, promotion of sustainable urban mobility, improving energy efficiency and increased use of renewable energy in urban areas, promote the protection, promotion and development of cultural and natural heritage in urban areas, integrated actions of urban revitalization and environmental surroundings and physical, economic and social regeneration of the environment in disadvantaged urban areas.
The actions of the first paragraph is the development of technological projects to implement ICT technology in the management of municipal services;
a plan to improve electronic administration and implementation of applications and services for the city, especially mobile applications related to the tourism sector is also contemplated.
And is that a cost savings and increased efficiency of municipal services (e-government), as well as greater efforts in conducting municipal web environments and mobile applications by residents and businesses looking for.
Another of the most striking agreed decisions is the definition of an urban plan and building pedestrian journeys on foot in preferred routes.
A program of deterrence and intelligent parking, development of bike paths and a network of charging points for electric vehicles in urban mobility paragraph three performances will also be held.
These measures are intended to improve the environmental pollution associated with the atmosphere and acoustics, favoring a suitable climate for the use of non-motorized transport and avoid saturation of car use in urban areas and especially in the town.
It also seeks to alleviate the tight supply of public transport and cycling trails.
Energy rehabilitation of municipal buildings, the enhancement of cultural heritage and management of public use, as well as the realization of a program to improve tourism and cultural infrastructures Cieza;
the upgrading of urban natural heritage, including the rehabilitation of green areas in neighborhoods and integrated urban public spaces recovery, improving the environment and the urban environment, there are six actions to be carried out in the third paragraph, fourth and fifth strategy of sustainable urban development.
As for the latest related to the physical, economic and social regeneration of urban environment in deprived urban areas point, the conclusions are aimed at the revitalization of public space in deprived neighborhoods to practice sport, to develop a program of housing rehabilitation municipal, creating a multipurpose community center for children and young people, and day center for the elderly;
cohesion and social integration of people at risk of exclusion, promoting new business initiatives and social economy, promotion of local commerce and training for disadvantaged for inclusion in the labor market.
