The regional government concluded a new development of 17 housing for young people in Cieza (17/06/2009)

The Minister of Public Works and Planning, José Ballesta, accompanied by the Mayor of Cieza, Antonio Tamayo, today presented the keys to a new class of public housing to 17 young people from Cieza, built within the Regional Plan 2005 Youth Housing -2008.

The homes have been built on a plot owned by the Housing and Land Institute (IVS) of 694 square meters, located on Calle Manuel de Falla, a well-connected to the rest of the municipality where they concentrate various schools and services.

The largest, whose price amounts to EUR 113,548.44, with an area of 90 square feet and feature four bedrooms, two bathrooms, terrace and patio, garage and storeroom.

Thus, there are houses of three and two bedrooms, while the smaller one bedroom and 42 square meters, has a price of EUR 64,436.84, which also includes garage and storage.

The Minister recalled that the IVS is developing this type of promotion in other parts of the region's geography in order to "facilitate access to housing for the young."

He stressed that "they are about to start work on two new promotions, and Lorquí Espinardo, both also included in the Youth Housing Plan, which will allow young people in these locations to access their first home at a price affordable. "

On the other hand, are finalizing the bidding process of the parcels acquired in Lorca, Molina de Segura and Torreagüera, whose work will be contracted before the summer, and the IVS has also started the bidding for houses of public promotion, aimed at social groups most disadvantaged in the towns of Mazarrón, Caravaca, Calasparra and Moratalla.

Furthermore, in the coming months will be bid new housing developments with no age limit protected in the towns of Calasparra, Pliego Puerto Lumbreras and the hamlet of Valladolises.

José Ballesta said that "this type of action is clear the effort that the state government is doing to fulfill the mandate of Article 47 of the Constitution concerning the right of public access to housing through the promotion of housing young, but also through other support to facilitate access to housing for purchase or lease all Murcia. "
