Cieza hosts the Otter Project exhibition "Exponutria" Ecologists in Action region of Murcia, which will remain in the Theodore Mill, next to Riverside Drive in Cieza, from 22 until 31 August, happy coincidence with the Fair and Festival patron of the city.

Thus, anyone who wishes, can visit the exhibition, installed in the Theodore Mill (next to Riverside Drive) from 18.30 to 21 pm, and announced through various information panels, issues related to the life of the otter: their biological characteristics, their distribution in the region, the main problems facing this mammal or action that can be taken to prevent the extinction of otters in the region of Murcia.

Also, this exhibition provides information on the River Segura and its ecological values.

This exhibition is part of a more global initiative called "Project Otter" that Ecologists in Action Murcia Region has been developing for several years in the region and has the support of the Segura River Basin and the Biodiversity Foundation.

The main objective of this project is the conservation of the otter and the health of the River Segura through awareness and participation of the population linked to river.

Thus Ecologists in Action develops the Otter Project in the municipalities bordering the region where otters live, as is the case of Cieza.

To do this, Exponutria addition, the project includes other activities among which are the consolidation of a environmental volunteers, training and development of various sectors of the population, a field of work related to coastal ecosystem conservation, reforestation with riparian forest vegetation in different parts of the Region, as well as an awareness campaign aimed at local people.

For this occasion, with the collaboration of the Municipality of Cieza who has provided the association the availability of a local municipality to host the exhibition, as well as collaboration in the work of distributing it.
