The Government of Spain invests in Cieza about 10 million euros through State Funds, 2009 and 2010

The Government delegate, Rafael González Tovar, provincial traffic chief, Francisco Jimenez, and the Mayor of Cieza, Antonio Tamayo, inaugurated the new Children's Traffic Park in the municipality.

The works, which have been financed entirely by the Government of Spain through the Local Investment Fund in 2009, involves an investment of 229,349 euros and has created 15 jobs.

The new Children's Traffic Park represents a significant commitment to improve both education and road safety of children who will become future drivers of our roads.

For this performance, there has been the paving of a municipal plot, creating a path bordered by curbs and signs it.

It has also paved the road, signage is placed vertical, horizontal road markings and traffic lights, and has constructed a building for storage, and toilet facilities.

Nearly 10 million E Plan in Cieza

Moreover, the delegate recalled that Cieza received from the Government of Spain 6,176,535 euros for 17 projects of the Local Investment Fund of 2009 that are generating 159 jobs.

These works were selected by the Municipality of Cieza and subsequently approved by the Government Delegation, first, and the Ministry of Land Policy, later.

González Tovar has also reported that the new State Fund for Employment and Local Sustainability to be invested in 2010, will involve a further economic boost for the town of 3,799,323.49 euros.

"Cieza In total the Government of Spain receives about 10 million euros in two years: the largest investment in Cieza by any government in such a short time and that makes clear the municipality of President Zapatero will," he clarified.

Current status of state funds in 2009 and 2010 in the Region of Murcia

As for the new State Fund, 2010, González Tovar indicated that involves an injection of an additional € 154.1 million to municipalities in the region.

"In just two years, municipalities in the Region of Murcia will receive from the Government of Spain over 400 million euros to boost the economy, create jobs and improve our towns and cities in a time of economic difficulty in which government public should be an example of effective management, "said González Tovar.

Councils in the region have already been approved by the Government of Spain for the start of construction of all the 729 projects submitted to this new State Fund.
